Begin with the customer's decision

The useful question is not which advertising platform is universally better. It is where a suitable customer can encounter a credible offer at the right stage. A search campaign can address an expressed query, while a social campaign may introduce an unfamiliar service through creative content. Both still need a coherent offer and a working destination.

Choose an outcome you can verify

Define a qualified inquiry, purchase or other business outcome before launching a campaign. A form submit event is not automatically a qualified lead, and clicks are not revenue. Check that analytics respects applicable consent requirements and that event duplication is controlled. Keep access to advertising accounts with authorized business owners.

Prepare the landing experience

Match the page to the advertisement's promise, state the service clearly and remove broken forms. Include accurate business contact details and relevant scope information. Review mobile usability and loading behavior before paying for traffic. Do not advertise unavailable services, unapproved discounts or guaranteed outcomes that the delivery team cannot substantiate.

Design a bounded experiment

Agree a budget the owner authorizes, a review window and a stop condition. Keep the initial comparison narrow enough to interpret: one audience hypothesis, a small creative set and a consistent definition of success. Document attribution limitations and avoid comparing platform-reported numbers as if they were independently verified sales.

Review quality with the sales process

Ask whether inquiries fit the service, whether staff responded and whether the proposal process worked. Poor results can originate in targeting, creative, the website or follow-up. Change one meaningful assumption at a time. No channel can guarantee growth, and a small early test is not evidence for a universal return-on-ad-spend claim.

A practical planning checklist

Write a one-page campaign brief defining the authorized offer, audience hypothesis, landing page and qualified outcome. Confirm the account owner and spending authority. Test the inquiry journey yourself before enabling advertisements, then agree how the business will review the quality of resulting contacts. Keep spend and performance claims separate from unverified platform projections.
